State of AI Search

State of AI Search is the annual flagship report of SEO Deep Research: a large-scale, re-collected measurement of how AI assistants and search engines surface, cite, and recommend sources, published once a year with the full dataset.

First edition: 2026, in production.

The first edition is being collected and written now. Like every study here, it will ship with a reproducible methodology, the raw series as CSV, charts rendered from that same data, and a formatted citation block. Until then, this page is the honest placeholder: no findings are published before the data exists.
