About this publication
SEO Deep Research is a research publication about search and AI discoverability: how AI assistants and search engines decide what to surface, cite, and recommend. That beat includes audio and podcast discoverability. It publishes studies, short data notes, and an annual report, State of AI Search.
It exists to earn citations, from journalists, from other SEOs, and from AI answer engines themselves. Which is why every study ships with a reproducible methodology and its raw dataset as CSV. The standards are on the methodology page.
Who runs it
Drew Chapin is the author and editor. He is the founder of The Discoverability Company, a firm working on search and AI visibility, and writes at drewchapin.com. Studies publish under his byline.
The Discoverability Company relationship
This site is a Discoverability Company project, stated plainly here, in the footer of every page, and in the site's structured data. The research beat overlaps with the firm's commercial work; that is the point, and it is disclosed rather than hidden. The publication holds one hard rule to stay citable: study pages carry a single line noting the related project, and nothing else is sold here. No service pages, no case studies, no email capture.
Findings that cut against the firm's commercial interest publish anyway. A research publication that only finds convenient results is a brochure.
poddisco
Podcast and audio discoverability studies relate to poddisco (always lowercase), a podcast discoverability project from the same team. Studies on that beat carry the poddisco line instead of the firm's.
